Running two Dunlop Echoplex Preamps simultaneously

I was wondering if anyone has run two Echoplex Preamps simultaneously?

I really like the sound of my Echoplex Preamp but would like to add a little more beef to it by adding a second one. I've also been looking at TC Electronic Spark as an option to give me a different tone. The music store near me doesn't currently have either pedals in stock but has in the past and will likely get some in the near future.

I would always go with two different ODs than to stack two of the same.

Taking mod/Delay out of the path, my drive train is:

1) Silver Pony (Klone) - fairly clean but breaking up; into

2) Fulltone OCD (dirty); into

3) EP Booster - unity, just for shaping; into

4) TC Spark Mini - clean boost

5) Amp du jour front end

I’ve had the EP at front end doing the same thing, but it’s where it is now because it’s in a loop with my El Capistan as a pseudo Exhoplex.

Boosting with the EP Booster just gives more of what is already there, so there’s little reason to do that twice that the Spark can’t achieve.

+1. Better to stack different pedals, it will add harmonic complexity. I almost always derive my driven tone from stacked pedals.
