So, I finally graduated... It was a long year for me, due to my back, but building amps and guitars was worth it... NOW I have to find a job to support my building habit.... Just when I put tobacco down, I pick up another habit that eats into the wallet...
In the meantime, here are some pics of the amp we built... Pretty straightforward... AMAZING tones as well...
JCM-800 inspired preamp/tone stack section with an AC-30 inspired power amp... Of course, I've added a pair of diodes and a switch to choose between SS recto or the 5AR4 tube recto... Oh yeah, there's a choke after the B+ supply, but before the rest of the power rail... ENJOY!!!
General Guitar Gadgets "Big Muff Pi"... nothing special, just showing off the 90* bends making the pedal look clean and tight....
The RV-84 as it awaits it's enclosure....
AND, the piece de resistance!!! Again, pretty clean wire work, if I may say so myself!!!
Next build will be a 65 Reverb unit, followed by a KT-66 or KT-88 powered head....
