Hello, new member here.

I have a Warmoth hardtail strat and am thinking of putting SSL-2's on the neck and middle positions. I want the second and fourth positions to be hum-cancelling so I'm thinking of getting a RWRP for my neck pickup as the 2nd position is neck and middle and the 4th is neck and bridge. If I mix a RWRP and a standard polarity pickup, does that mean that they're automatically out of phase?

One more thing, I use the neck pickup a lot. Does a RWRP and a standard polarity pickup sound different on the same position? Do positions 2 and 4 sound different if two pickups with different polarities and two pickups with the same polarities are used?

Thanks in advance!

Re: RWRP and phasing confusion: help please

If you mix a single coil with a rwrp single they will be properly phased. Thats the whole point of getting a rwrp single coil. You won't hear a difference between a single coil and a rwrp single of the same type in the same position.

What you are planning will work.
