S-1 Switching, Pick-up replacement?

Whassup, I'm interested in getting a new strat with the S-1 Switching configuration, and wasn't sure if it was possible to replace the pickups(or just the bridge pickup) and still have the S-1 Switching function normally. Seems to me like it should function fine, but I'd thought I should be sure before I get one. Thanks in advance. :smoker:

As far as I know there is nothing odd about the S-1, so it should be fine with any combo of pickups

Most S-1 switching schemes on the strats with single coils make the sounds with switch in darker by running them in series with another pickup. If you do that, getting vintage like pups would be the best for you. Overwound pups would tend to be a lot darker when in series.

if you just splice your new pickup lead with whatever the old one was connected to you're set.
