S-S-S pickups question

Ok i have a Samick MB1 guitar, with 3 single coil seymour duncan pickups.
now my question is, how can i get a heavy and crunchy sound without having to change any pickups ??

Turning up the volume usually does the trick. :6:

Seriously, I usually turn the volume all the way up on the guitar, but how your amp is configured (volume wise) has a lot to do with it. What amp are you using?
