Saddle alignment on a tele

I'd prefer to keep all of the period correct parts together if possible.

Doesn't seem ridiculous to me.

Are you absolutely sure they are period correct?

I'd be dubious that screws that are putting all the saddles out of whack are actually original...and even if they were wouldn't you be better off replacing them with functional screws and store them in case you ever wanted to sell it etc.

I always use a straight edge to make sure my saddle alignment is perfect.

Just put a flat screw in and save your original screws in a ziplock baggie in the case.
As far as resale as long as you have the originals in such a non invasive mod...it wont effect value.
Not to mention a great playing tele with a few swapped screws and originals in case will be more desirable to a player than a tele with an issue with originsl screws in place

I always opt for something that makes it play better than historical accuracy, anyway. Leo did get a lot of things wrong, partly because he wasn't a musician, but mostly because he would use whatever was cheaper or whatever he got a deal on.
