Sailing to Philadelphia - brilliant example of the powerr of a guitar

Mark Knopfler demonstrates brilliantly: rhythm, accents, solo and the selection of the perfect tone in every aspect of this tune. A guitar in his hands can be as powerful as a symphony orchestra.

The story and James Taylor vocal support also make this tune rise above.

Sorry for the interruption, listened to this for the umpteenth time this morning and this listen it's brilliance just fell into place and I had to say something...post not specifically on topic but tangentially has something to say I think.

Gotta love a little Knopfler!!! He's got a firm spot in my top three most influential guitarist of all time! He sits right in between Tray Anastasio & Dave Gilmour.....

Nice rig in the pic. All your missing is an ASAT with a Phat cat neck and Trembucker bridge, that has become my go to guitar even with a little crack by the tone control.
