Saint Seiya bridge DONE!

This is the year of the project on the japenese calender. I finally got around to drilling some post holes on my very modded 1981 ibby dt50 :cool2: One step closer on this one.................weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I was thinking i might paint this bridge yellow or possibly black.

I did notice that the new gotoh wrap around bridges are ''Almost'' the same stud spacing so i could get a gold or black one of those. Its like .3mm difference between them Also they aren't as tall which is good as i am sitting a tad high. So i will have to shim the pocket up a fraction and maybe take the saddles done. I wish i did it before the finish as i did chip up some clear but i am still happy its done. I might redo the finish in acrylic this time.

I also need some yellow pups. Anyone want to donate some? hahaha. :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

Re: Saint Seiya bridge DONE!

Thx- what hardware and colours would you guys go for?

The humbukcer i have up there is an orginal ibanez v-2. Thinking it may be worth just getting a yellow sticker for it. Its a monster pickup/

Re: Saint Seiya bridge DONE!

stickers, or paint 'em yellow!, after seeing your work i don't believe you could mess a paint job.
what an epic destroyer dude.

Yeah maybe stickers. I am removing the clear off thhis and i am going to do it again. Big ass job but i ha a chip and i think acrylic will work better.

Re: Saint Seiya bridge DONE!

You could go with EMG's and paint them..... For hardware I almost want to say gold would look best, or black... What body is that?

Re: Saint Seiya bridge DONE!

Is that a black metal single coil mounting ring? I just bought a gold one and it doesn't go with anything I have at all...not even sure why I bought it. Id swap you even up if you decided to go with gold.

Re: Saint Seiya bridge DONE!

Awesome guitar for sure

This was it before i got to it,

the fr install was a major fail so i got it as a project on the cheap. Looking back on it i should have really just fixed the issues with the tremolo instead of making it hardtail again. Lucky the 455 bridge is nice and wide so it drill into the body wood and not the area which was plugged.

Have You seen the back?

Anyway i removed all that clear and am redoing it haha. More work but atleast the bridge is done now. So many projects and builds its overwhelming.

Re: Saint Seiya bridge DONE!

**** i just had a brainwave.

I could get the 456 schaller fine tuner attachment tailpiece and use a locking nut. EVH hardtail style. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. The locking nut holes might even still be there.

Food for thought
