Same SH1N pickup in a Flying V and an Explorer: an experiment.

Man! I have to tell you, freefrog, that I really can appreciate your knowledge on this and your ability to do that quantitative research. I don't know much about the technical aspects that you seem so fluent with, so all of this is really mind boggling to me. I do understand intuitively, the results that you get.

Just food for thought...
I have 2 epi explorers with the same Blackout AHB3 pickups in both.
both mahogany with ebony boards.

One (The Goth) switch has been moved and rewired between the pots, (so it's minus a volume pot) and the other one (The Lzzy Hale) switch is still way out in left field where they stick em when they build them.

I'm not familiar with Blackouts: do their preamp(s) diminish the impedance before or after the switch?
