This is probably true, the first ones were pretty standard strats, and the deeper cut took 3-4 years to become a staple, maybe I should have clarified that...though up until about ´80 charvel also still had other bodies on stock, and they were sometimes a bit "inconsecutive"... I´ve seen charvel bodies dated in 81 (pre-pro San Dimas) on an ´87 Jackson guitar (Ontario serialized Production), for example .... that body just jumped over the whole serialized Charvel Era and became a Jackson
