Sanding down pickup to fit cover.....will it break the pup?

Re: Sanding down pickup to fit cover.....will it break the pup?

I will try narrowing the cover and see if that helps, Why they dont make trembucker covers I dont know.....there must be a huge market for this sort of thing....

I was able to keep the cover on sort of using the height adjuster screws that go in the middle either side....the covers have tabs sticking out either side with a thread in like proper pickups for the screw to go through. So I popped the screw through and held it tightly, then lined it up with the Dime screw holes and have put them in?..atm the cover is being held in place on my work desk. IF I can get it on like this then Im hopefull that when its in the pickguard the same will apply.

Unless of course with the covers on they will be to wide and the pickguard will need the holes made even bigger :(

again all of this could of been avoided and made so simple IF companies made these emg covers in trembucker size and normal

Ok so I just filed a little bit of the corners of the Dimbucker and it now fits into the covers fine. Around the Dimbucker is like a 2 mm edging. At the corners is where Ive filed away. Hopefully this will not ruin the tone and tbh I cant really see how it will have broken it. Ive just taken a little bit of plastic away at the corners??........

Now it looks great and will sound great too when I get it installed.......a Dimebucker that looks like an EMG...... oh yeah ;)
