Had to repair my MXR CAE MC-402....I hate doublesided PCB.....grrrr they always break on of those small dratted traces....
Anyways the the POS OPA chip had one side fried, so a socket was installed, and I stuck in the ole LF353 op-amp instead(no diode clip in this thing!)
While the OPA was pretty and silent, it was abit on the dullard side of the fence!
So the LF353 was a welcomed change, have a few other op-amps that I'll try, but I like the smack smack attack of this chip......so I guess it will stay in??!
Had to resolder a few funny points as well.....must have been some pretty used up solder, in that bath that day at Dunlop!
Anyways, both the clean boost and the dirt was used here, and now I am back out to the sunshine again
