I was just about to try and trade my Patb-3 untill I just heard this.
Now I know Ive got to hang onto it, and I also know Ive got to get me a Charvel Pro Mod! I like this guys style of playing its more or less the way I Poodle.
( Thats 'noodling' that sounds like poo).

Well, with that tone you'd have no problem cutting through in a live situation.

Wow... I had to turn that off, it was hurting my head about 30 seconds in....

I generally use a slightly brighter sound but that was a little much.....

I have a PATB-3 in a Charvel So Cal that I play into my Splawn QR. I don't think I could make it sound that bad on purpose.

How do you like this setup?? I have a PATB3 in an RG570 but have never had the chance to run it thru my QR. I hve a Jazz/jb in my so cal and its become my fav axe, but im not 100% sure Im satisfied with the JB

I really like it, although it's been awhile since I've fired up my Splawn. IIRC I'm running a Patb-1 in the neck with the 3 in the bridge.

It's weird, I think I've seen that dude's other videos through Splawns and his tone was much better than that.

man, that clip is piercing. It has to be the recording. both the pup and the splawn are going to be warmer than that

I'm thinking of replacing the JB in my Jackson with a PATB-3 and I also use a Splawn QR too. Don't happen to have any clips do you? :friday:

Probably not necessarily the kind of clip you would associate with a Splawn/Charvel, but:



Ignore the one horrible bend that drives me nuts. I believe I was in the middle position with a PATB1/PATB3 through Gear 1.

I think it proves that the thin screechy tone in the 1st vid must be the recording, thankfully!
