Say hello to my little fam...

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

Thanks...yeah, that Epi really has it all. Lightest of the bunch...like that old wood feel, not cheap light, BIG tone like a good LP, perfect neck carve and just a joy to play. It's as good, in some ways better, than it's American brothers...

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

Nobody looks bad with a black or gold LP strapped on. That's an actual fact, unless you're a pointy Floyd dork....then your opinion doesn't even count! ROFL

Very sweet, GearJonerer what's wrong with pointy guitars?
I'm tired of Floyds though

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

Very nice collection, dude. I also offer my approval.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of guitars does your co-guitarist in the band play?

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

Thanks guys..yeah Brent, I dig the Delux edgy tone. It's ballsy yet it has that cut and punch when pushed. Cleans are nice and almost Tele like. Kam, we've both been guilty of bringing 3 guitars to gigs, as we like to mix up the flavor and tones. I always brought a LP, a Strat and a Tele of some sort. He'd bring a Strat, a Tele and a HB axe, a LP, PRS or Fernandez. The past year we decided to bring just one guitar only...I picked the LP and he picked his PRS McCarty. We were kinda leery of 2 HBs maybe being too much and mud up our sound. It works out great, he uses an Egnater and I use my Orange...we get a lot of comps on our 2 guitar tones/mix. There's nothing like playing with another guitarist who has killer chops and is as anal about tone and getting a great 2 guitar sound! We have a good time every gig.

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

That is indeed a very, VERY beautiful family. Love the Pauls, abut have actaully started playing my superstrat way more. Mostly cuz iI have pretty small hands, and hitting those high notes is a pain. I'll never figure out how mr Rhodes did it.

How old are those ladies, anyway? I own a LP Gothic, and it comes with the sad drawback of the paint aging 3x normal speed.

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

You could look even better with Floyd Rose in your Les Paul! :D

Hell YES!! I don't get why LP fanatics are so hateful towards the Access models and Floyd Custom LP's. Of the 58275093845702 possible pickup combos out there, thick blocks and other things, "thin" tone is a bad reason to reject one. Besides, Mr. Rose himself used his LP as the test victim for his original prototype bridge.

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

The Deluxe is the oldest of the lot....31 years. Just got a nice used set of Deluxe tuners as they are pretty worn out. Don't ya have a gold top Jolly? I think if I could find a white LP, with P90's, I'd be set....I got nuthin against a Floyd LP, Neal Schon rocks the crap outta one...I just don't use a whammy.

Les Pauls, McCartys, Egnaters and Oranges all on one stage? Mmmm, that does sound like a ****ing delicious combination. Similar enough tones to gel nicely but not similar enough to blend together and muddy up. Sounds perfect, man.

You should definitely try to put up some live recordings or footage of your band, dude. It sounds rockin'.

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

While not a fan of LPs (well, not without several corrections anyway) it is always good to see a man that has a deep knowledge of what works best for him and the heart to let go of the rest.

Rock on my friend :headbang:

Re: Say hello to my little fam...

Thanks guys...I'll try get something recorded at the gig. Words of gold KeeperOS...thanks, that's exactly where I'm at. So far I have replaced tuners, bridge and tails in all my LPs...of course pickups too. These are keepers.
