I'd look on Ebay for a silverface Fender Bandmaster Reverb head.

That's what I had in mind too. A kit would actually run me cheaper, especially as I have loads of 6V6s and 12AX7s. But a cheapish Fender head is PERFECT for my needs as I love DIYing amps too.
So I'll be on the lookout for either an old head (preferably with reverb, like the Bandmaster) or that Weber SR kit I posted which is cheap and seems awesome.
