Scandinavian summernight girls...

We have a hot night here.....loads of nice women walking around with summerclothes...
It may be a small not so fantastic country, but at least the women are nice sight in summertimes....haha
And it reminded me of my youth where the summers was like this one, hot, rain cold, then back to rain again.....haha
Hence the small inspiration for this little strat clip.

The overtones are so lovely. The touch response, and the dynamics of your picking is awesome!
Nice tone and playing!

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

This clip is worthless without pics! ;)

Is this your Navigator Neils? and...what?

heh...love the volume swell and switch to the bridge pup around 2:20-ish

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

Hehe got them stored well in my memory............
Late 80's and early 90's......man the girls looked great back then....now they are either fat or sticks.....and has a defenite fake look to them!

Used my Navigator ok, with Van Zandt Blues singles.
The first part is my TS-10 turned 808...haha with a modded CE-3 chorus....wanted a slight 80's 90's PF sound without the active emg's.
Then I kick in the Satchurator....
And back to clean.
Vox amp plug classic rock......
Soon to be replaced by a small amp here at home.

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

Vox amp plug classic rock??... seriously?
How did you record that?

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

No, you should come to my place, South France is awesome.
Ah Mediterranian bliss....yep indeed:D

Well use it as a normal amp, just using my pedals in front of it, set for a slight breakup, then directly into my line mixer to get the volume up.
From there into my soundcard....easy!
It is ok, not great, but it works well for jamming and fun.
Soon I'll borrow one of our 15 watts prototype combos at work....will be nice to have a real amp at home again....
Have my big amps at work....but they are impractical here!
Simply too loud!

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

cool song, smooth playing. i especially totally admire you for being able to get such a great sound out of the amplug!

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

Thanks...they are good little things actually, but take them for what they are, a small help to practise and have fun at low volumes, having a line mixer helps boosting up the volume, and they only run on batteries, and their without grounding...

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

summerclothes... Is that code for naked?

It's like a modern take on Trower, very cool tone. The kind of sound that surrounds a room in a liquidy sonic kind of magic. Love how you kind of lay back underneath the tune, the use of space is very cool. Really REALLY good stuff...

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

Nice one!! Just coming back from Bornholm and it was cool hehe. Nice dynamic parts around 1:50 :D me loves some palm muting.

Re: Scandinavian summernight girls...

The amplugs are the same as the modelling in the VOX Valvetronix series amps-minus the valve reactor circuit (or think of the little DA5 porta-amp) They actually sound & record pretty darn nice for digital, especially considering the price and take most pedlas pretty well too.
