SCD (String Change Day) I guess...

Ever have this happen to you?

1) I picked up Lita to practice some of my band's tunes, and she was sounding a little out of tune as I came up the neck. I put her back on the wall and said to myself, "I'll have to put new strings on her later... it's about time anyway."

2) Wanted to keep practicing, so I picked up The Phoenix (which is the one I usually gig with) and played for a while. Busted the 4th string (D) halfway through "Rocky Mountain Way."

3) Un-deterred, I put her down and grabbed Rachel (she's been feeling neglected lately anyway) and began playing. Started and finished "Rocky Mountain Way" and moved onto "Two Tickets to Paradise." Busted the 3rd string (G) halfway through!

That only leaves Scarlet Overkill for electric guitars, but I really wanted humbuckers today... so I guess I've got some strings to change! Sheeeesh! :grumble: :smack:

No, but I once had a flat on my trailer that I pull my work plow with. I put my spare on the trailer, got about a mile down the road, and then that tire blew. Does that count?

It's been about 6 weeks since the last complete change for all three. I've had a few single stragglers go in the meantime that I replaced along the way too.

It's certainly about time for it now, but WOW!
