schaller M6 WTF numbering system

I LOVE schaller M6 tuners, but their numbering system is weird.
what does M6 90°, M6 135°, M6 180° mean?

Have you looked at pics of the various tuners to see if there are any physical differences. Thats usually the first thing I do.

That is obviously the angle of the "wing" the screw fastening the tuner is attached in relations to the tuning peg itself:

90°:

135°:

180°:

135° would be the "classic" Schaller.

Many of these threads needn't exist if people would just use a bit of initiative and commonsense.

Oh, man... you're REALLY setting yourself for eternal disappointment.

Example: an over 50 year-old guy, owner of two R9s posts asking the MLP Forum the following:

"I broke the 1st string. Can I only change that or do I need to change the whole set? I don't like changing strings, you know?

Difficult to keep your belief in the human race up after things like that, isn't it?
