Schaller to Sperzel, do they fit?

Re: Schaller to Sperzel, do they fit?

Keep in mind the two brands will likely use different set pin configurations, so you still might need to do some minor drilling.

Re: Schaller to Sperzel, do they fit?

Would having tuner holes on a neck made for schallers work for sperzels and vise versa?

Strictly speaking they are not. The Schallers are 10mm. The Sperzels are 13/32" IIRC which is 10.32mm.

In practice it'll work fine but yes, you enjoy the imperial system and fraction madness at it's best.

Re: Schaller to Sperzel, do they fit?

Weren't the Sperzel made to be a direct retrofit for the Schaller-type Fender tuners found in Strats, pins and all?

Are Schallers different?

Yes but that doesn't change the fact that as an American company they felt obligated to use the *(@&(@^@ imperial system with (*&@()*@&@() fractions.

If they are actually manufactured in the US then they wouldn't find anybody to make 10mm anything.

I don't think those 0.3mm will make a big difference, of course.
