Schecter Hellcat VI/MIJ Jaguar Baritone?

Anyone have experience with the Hellcat VI? I'm really intrigued by the Bass VI style instruments. I briefly played the Jaguar Baritone (MIJ) in a local shop (unplugged, though) and thought it was pretty cool. The Jaguar wasn't a 30" scale, but it had a nice vibe about it. The lack of the classic trem on either doesn't really bother me.

The pickups are supposed to be muddy and sound awful under gain but I heard it plays pretty well for what it is.

Is that because of the pickups or the nature of the instrument??? They're Duncan designed pickups, so they can't be that bad, can they???

I was really excited about the Jab bari but then I say that it's a 28" scale...when I get a Bari it will be a 30" scale. I have been looking all over for a Hellcat VBI to play but have not found one yet as for the pickups I can't tell you anything about them sincve I have not tried them but I can tell you that I talked with Evan about them once before and he said if I got a Hellcat VI and didn't like the pickup that MJ could rewind them in the CS for me to whatever specs I wanted.

Unless something really cool pops up soon I think that the Hellcat VI will be my bari!
