Hmm, I can't really help you too much, but I did stumble across this review of the 8 string version of the Banshee Elite the other day while researching extended range guitars. It makes mention of the Schecter "Mach" pickups. http://ergnerds.com/review-schecter-banshee-elite-8/

I've been a huge Schecter fan over the past few years, and own a couple of them myself, but I've found that my interest in them has declined a bit since they recently stopped putting Seymour Duncans in their guitars (except for maybe the Keith Merrow sig, but he works for SD, so yeah). I really don't know anything about those Schecter branded pickups. I'm sure they're fine, but I just know nothing about them, so that takes away some of my confidence in buying their guitars. Like with Seymour Duncan, I'm pretty up to speed on most of their pickups, so I know exactly what I'm getting. For ex: I know I'd be happy with a guitar stocked with Full Shreds, but I wouldn't want a guitar with a pair of Invaders. I know the general tonal characteristics of most Duncans off the top of my head by now, and can use that info to help make my decision. I don't have that with those mystery Schecters. And I don't have the spare cash to make a gamble on it either, heh. :P

Annnnyway... Yeah, sorry I can't offer much insight, but I just thought I'd pass on that link since I remembered it while passing by your post.

Re: schecter mach 7 pickups any good ?

thanks alot for replyin man, i already read that ergnerds review :D , but thanks anyway :D
i had an option of KM7 too, reasons i picked banshee was : 1- its neckthrough ,2- its a 27 scale, 3- it has thicker flamed maple top than veneers on most schecters ( km7 )
so i guess i should keep the nzgul/sentient till i recieve the guitar since schecter pickups are a mystery still

Re: schecter mach 7 pickups any good ?

Recieved the guitar today :) . So lets put it like this , these schecter superchargers sound massive but not as clean and bright as nazgul/sentient , needs more better and precise noise gate , its not as highoutput as nazgul but still awesome , as for rhythm ( mostly tech death - djent ) needs more work to get to the desired tone ( gates / comps/ equalizer etc..) but when i reached that point , it sounded pretty impressive ;) im not gonna change the pickups since i already put nazgul back in my rg7421 , bout the neck pickup , i preffer sentient . Its a more versatile more clear pickup with nice output ( my opinion ) , supercharger( neck position ) not bad thou , i liked clear tones on sentient lotta more ,anyway theyre good stock pickups to keep & you wont regret buying them :)

I feel exactly the same way. If Schecter pickups were competitively priced as aftermarket offerings vs. SD and DMZ, then we'd know
more about them. But right now they're at boutique prices, so as far as I can tell, few people are picking them up except as stock inclusions with new Schecter guitars. I miss the "know what you're getting" reliability of seeing a Schecter spec sheet that includes Seymour Duncans.

Re: schecter mach 7 pickups any good ?

Agreed , expenssive pickups for the price unless you get em as stock pickups . They didnt disappoint anyway :), sounds huge in banshee elite 7 .as i said before just needs time to shape a good tone out of it .& i dont think schecter pockups can ever compete with seymour duncan nor Dmz , its a new line of somehow test production i guess .
