Schecter Pick-ups upgrade advice!

I have a Schecter Omen extreme 6 (mahogany body, rosewood board, with coil split) - I’d aiming to upgrade the pickups this weekend but would like some advice!!

I’d like to keep my tone as versatile as possible - I play mainly classic/hard rock/metal (heaviest would be sort of 80’s thrash) but I want to be able to achieve super soft cleans if possible as well!

I’ve looked around a lot on the net and seem to have come to a few options:

Jazz/JB
Jb/59
Jazz/Invader?

Does anyone have any advice or pros and cons? Would be massively appreciated!

Thanks

59 vs. Jazz: the Jazz has quicker, more even, less bouncy attack and wider, thicker/richer/looser harmonic frequency response on the bass strings in particular. It's also more scooped.

Can't really comment on JB vs. Invader.

I would consider the often overlooked PATB-1B for the bridge and the Sentient for the neck.

Re: Schecter Pick-ups upgrade advice!

Can you describe the PATB? Is it important to have a trem as far as spacing goes?

Re: Schecter Pick-ups upgrade advice!

Bright but smooth with a full midrange. Great harmonics, great sustain. IIRC it was designed to compensate for the deficiencies normally associated with a 2-stud floating tremolo. Ideally I think it should work best with F-spacing, but I doubt there will be an issue with G-spacing.

It was a long while back that I played the original version. The last PATB I played was the Distortion version (PATB-2B) in a guitar with with an angled bridge route. It was a beast with a tight low end, and again: great harmonics and smooth, very much like the PATB-1B just darker and not as dynamic. There were no issues with the misalignment as far as I could tell.

The PATB-3B is highly regarded by the guys in the forum who use it. I'm guessing it will be brighter and more dynamic with better cleans (not that the cleans of the PATB-1B are bad), but I've never used one.

for those styles id go with a sh5 custom in the bridge with either a jazz or a pearly gates in the neck
