Schecter PT Owners: Setup Questions

OK, guys, I currently own three (3) Fender Standard (MIM) Telecasters - with maple fretboards. I wanted to add another Tele with bolt-on neck, maple fretboard, 25.5-inch scale - and humbuckers - but Fender doesn't offer one, so... I took the plunge for a Schecter PT.

The setup specs from Schecter are different than my Fender specs, so I wanted to hear how PT owners are doing their setups.

Here are the setup specs recommended by Schecter:

Neck relief: check relief at 12th fret (.010")
Action: check string height at 12th fret (1st string = 4/64", 6th string = 5/64")
Pickup height (neck): 1st string = 5/32", 6th string = 5/32"
Pickup height (bridge): 1st string = 4/32", 6th string = 4/32"


What are you guys doing for your setups? Can I use the Fender specs, since both guitars have similar scale lengths?

I've never done anything to my Schecter PT's for a setup. They came setup from the factory just the way I like.

You've never done a setup or had someone else do a setup on your Schecter?

Setups are a part of routine maintenance, as far as I know. It just seems odd to me.

set it up how you like it... it really is just a modded tele so go for it... experiment...

did you get an imported PT or the USA version?
