Scored a vintage pedal today

Found a '79 MXR blue six band EQ pedal that came with the original box on craigslist today. It looks completely NOS, and the serial number on the box starts with 9, so I'm guessing its a '79.

Anyone know much about these? Or what they're worth?

I have an old one I got from a friend in probably 1980. He put a jack in the side so it's possible to power it with an adapter with an 1/8" phone plug. I'm passively curious what these are worth too.

That's a very noisy eq pedal that cannot be turned off. My friend offered me the same pedal for free and I haven't took it... hey maybe it's the very same pedal!

Nice score! I dig the Permission to Land cd, as well. The Darkness rock, and I'm glad they're back!

Haha, back when the album came out, they had a full stage set up with multiple stacks at my local best buy store. I bought that CD and got it signed by the original lineup that day.

That's a mad pimp statement right there. If Christian wants it - DON'T SELL!!

Must be valuble....:scratchch

Not really valueable...the lack of DC power and a footswitch makes the MXR EQ pedals sort of add but I am about to get an EQ pedal that will be paired with a pedal that is being used with a remote looper so the switch doesn't matter to me and I have a few ZVEX power plates so the lack of a DC jack is no big deal either.

These are cool EDQ pedals, sort of limited by todays EQ standards and a little hissy but thats part of the old MXR charm!

The old 10 band, AC powered EQ's bring between $40-75 depending on condition, there is one local thats mint in the box with all papers for $80 and I'd get it but I don't have provisions for AC power on the board plus I don' have room for the 10 band.

The 6 bands bring $25-45 most of the time, I just haven't found one local yet...
