Hello!
This post will have to serve as an introduction as well as a solicitation. My name is Scott French and I’m a guitar builder from Northern California. My first experience with SD was at the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery and I used them on my first few guitars. When I finally started up my own shop I bought into the SD OEM program (Thanks Kellie!) and ended up with a lot of pickups. I build slowly and it seems like every customer wants something other than what I keep around… That being said I have a lot of pickups left sitting on the shelf. This is the first guitar I’ve finished in the past 4 years that wasn't going to a customer so I chose to use a set of those orphaned SD pickups from my OEM purchase.
The pickups I used are a set of 18-volt Livewire Metal Humbuckers with a Livewire Classic Single Coil in the Middle. These are by far the highest output pickups I’ve ever heard. They make for a weird combination with the classic/retro style but I think it ended up working pretty well. Anyway, onto the guitar itself along with some specs:

I built this instrument as a sort of tribute to Leo Fender. Like I mentioned before it's the first guitar I've been able to complete in the past few years that hasn't been customer driven so I'd love to hear any feedback anyone out there might have. I guess you could call it a pet project as I'm a big Leo fan... and a big paisley fan.
$2450 with Deluxe TKL Hardshell Case. If you are interested or have any questions please post or email me at mail@scottfrench.com. Not a big PM fan.
Thanks for looking,
Scott French
