screaming pickup for chiicago blues

i am after a bucker that will have a bright top, and punching bottom for the bridge of my current project

i like a 59 in the neck but find a 59 in the bridge a little wimpy. i need harmonics and plenty of cut... pretty raunchy....i thought of a dimebucker but is that going too far.

i'm an old dude [57] i an no metal freak but love to pull a scorching blues solo

the 59 + 59 is nice but as i said the bridge is too tame

So go for a C 5. I'm actually in love with this pickup.

I'm a long-term blues player & have a Epi Sheraton 355 with a '59 at the neck & a C5 at the bridge. I put 250K pots on the bridge (500K on the neck), and it is fantastic for blues: full-bodied chords and solos with plenty of punch & bite. It screams with a little overdrive. All the muscle you'd ever need and not weak, thin, or trebley on top. This is made for wailin' Chicago blues. Used the same combination on a LP Std & it works like a charm there too.

I wouldn't go with a Phat Cat, if you don't think the '59b isn't enough for your needs. That's going in the wrong direction.
