whenever I rub my hand across the strings it screaches. Its ****in anoying. I had really old strings on it, and thought that was the problem, but even the brand new strings have the same effect. It had fender bullets, and now ernie balls.

So what is the problem? - is it your hands, the guitar and/or strings would be helpful if we had a bit more info.

Re: Screeching sound on My Guitar.

It's either you using roundwound strings, or you're pushing so hard the strings scrape against the poles on the pickup. There's nothing you can really do about the strings, except play flatwounds.

that's pretty much supposed to happen from what I've experienced... Ever heard of a pick scrape? same concept, but louder.

It happens. Guitarists have been refining little tricks to minimize that for a long time. Besides changing your technique, you could also try coated strings (like Elixirs) which will help a little without adversely effecting your sound.
