Screw heads & material

Hi guys i'm pretty new here so first post... be nice

I am just wondering how the screw head and material (obviously ferrous) affects the tone of a PUP and also if the Slot shape (hex/Philips/Flathead) affects it if at all.
My tone is normally a modern metal tone (TS9, shredmaster, engl e530, Marshall EL34 100/100, 2x12) so i don't really know how much impact that would have on my normal rig but id like to know as much as i can.

Welcome to the forum!

I think it is safe to say that *everything* affects the tone of a pickup. This is why you see different types of poles (slugs, screws, hex screws of different sizes, etc). I recommend anyone to take a few pickups and experiment with different types of screws (if you can find/salvage them) to see how it affects the tone of your pickup in your guitar.
