i tried the exact same set in an aristides but one has slugs the other had double screw polepieces. Differences? Yes. The double slugs were tighter, much more pick attack and more cut in general. The double slugs give indeed a nice smoothness to it all.

I assume your last sentence meant to say that the double screws were smoother.
