Script removal

I’m sizing up another JB/JAZZ purchase for my Traditional.
Another killer deal but they are uncovered.
I’d like to remove SEYMOUR script.
Can this be done successfully?
Is the script embossed?
Was thinking a quick wipe of Acetone would do the trick..

I believe people use polish to remove the logo. I'll let someone clarify on what polish.

But I guess my warning is DON'T USE ACETONE. Acetone starts dissolving the plastic bobbins themselves, and it leaves them looking hazy. I've made that mistake before.

A light abrasive will do it like rubbing compound or even toothpaste.

FYI, keep in mind that any pickup that normally comes with a logo is available without a logo as well.
