TwilightOdyssey
Darkness on the edge of Tone
After much searching for a loudspeaker that will give me an authentic late 60's through early 70's rock tone, a friend told me about Scumback speakers. "They're not cheap," he warned, "but I heard they are the best replicas around."
After listening to the clips on their site ( http://www.southbayampworks.com/speakers.html ), I was blown away. This was the first time I've listened to loudspeaker clips and actually wanted to buy them!
I ended up putting an M75 and an M75-LHDC in my Marshall 2x12.
Now that I've lived with them for a couple of months and they've fairly broken in, I can say that these are the best speakers I have ever encountered for either classic rock/hard rock, proto-metal, or even NWOBHM tones.
This is a quick clip I recorded using a single Audix D2 using no science, just moved it around till I thought it sounded nice:

(Guitar: Agile 2800; bridge pickup: Bare Knuckle Riff Raff; amp: Splawn Quick Rod, clean channel, plexi gear; boost: Thundertomate treble booster)
If you're in the market for either a Prerolla or Pulsonic original, I give the Scumback speakers my highest recommendation!
