SD Active EQ pickups

I don't have enough room for another bass so have been toying with some mods for my MIJ Fender JBS to satisfy my GAS.

I found these on Google images and wonder what they are. Anyone know? Can anyone explain them?

These are the BassLines pickups with the voicing switches. Very cool pickups. Our versions now have the most popular switch positions wired into them. The older ones with the switches are hard to find, as no one wants to get rid of theirs!
