SD Blackouts for strat or EMG DG20 ?

Hey guys, what's up?

I wanted a noiseless pickup for my strat and something beefier for the bridge to put on my SSS Stratocaster. As a matter of fact, I couldn't find anything comparing these set of pickups... Only a few videos of the blackout and lots of videos of the DG20 separately.

Blackouts are beefier than the DG20? Does someone out there had the privilege to test these two?

Thanks!

Are you specifically wanting active pickups, or just noiseless? There are plenty of option for noiseless if you don't need to have them be active.

Yeah... I saw the area pickups from Dimarzio. But I also heard about the benefits of having actives pickups. First thing I saw was the dimarzio injectors+67+ chopper. But then I found out about the strat actives with the SPC system. I mainly play rock and I didn't find any comparison between them.

This all depends on the sound you are going for, and what you don't like about the current pickups. Active singles, for instance, not only reject noise, but are great if you are going through a ton of effects.

Totally! Lots of benefits on having an active pickup. I'm really digging the sound of the DG20 in all of the videos I saw. But I really wanted to know someone that used both, or maybe... Just the blackouts. For all, I know the blackouts are even more heavier than the DG20. But that is just theoretically. There's not a lot of videos from the strat blackouts pickups.

i like the blackout pups better but the dg20 as the active eq modules which can be great. i like the spc mid boost much more than the exg treble/bass boost but both are cool. if i was going to do this, id use the blackout singles with the spc
