Just picked up a 40th Anniversary LTD H7 that came stock with the EMG MetalWorks 57-7H/66-7H and I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. The original owner swapped out the EMGs for a set of passive Customs. Anyone have experience comparing the two sets? Obviously, active vs passive is a thing. But, I'm wondering if it's worth all the effort to swap the active system back in or just roll with the Customs (or swap them for another passive set). For what I play (old school extreme metal) I've had quite a few guys recommend the Custom to me more than once, so I'm figuring I'll dig them, but curiosity will definitely be a thing...
