Shred guitars that come installed with EMG 57/66tw set?

A couple years ago I bought an M1000 with a 57/66tw set. I was planning to rip them out and replace with passives, but they are quite good and versatile.

I am looking for another guitar, and rather than planning to rip out the pickups, I'd like another guitar with the same pickups. These are a $300 set, so not insignificant cost.

I am noticing that many of the guitars come with Fishman Fluence Modern set, which I don't have any experience. They sound very trebly in comparison and perhaps designed for metal and downtuning. I would be willing to try the Fluence Moderns, and I'm sure I could make them work, but the 57/66 set is not that far from the hot passives I have in my other guitars and they are somewhat interchangeable.

Willing to consider any of the major brands... Jackson, ESP/TLD, Schecter, etc but scouring their websites I don't see any other 57/66 equipped guitars. I guess I could buy another M1000, but the only other colors they have are black and white. (Edit: Nope! They come with Fluence moderns.)

I think the Fluence Moderns are really versatile. I didn't find them to be trebly in any of the 3 guitars I had them in; if anything I wanted a little more brightness and "metal" tone than they were giving me. You can always resell them and pop other models (or EMGs) in for a different flavor if you don't like them.

I'm actually looking forward to trying them now. I thought I would hate the EMGs but they proved me wrong. That opens up my options. These are two guitars I'm interested in with Fluence Moderns:

You didn’t mention a budget, but the ESP E-II Viper has a set of EMG 56/66TW from the factory:

I love the ESP guitars, but I don't know why they put pickup rings on most of their E-II guitars!??

If this had a Floyd, it would be my next guitar:

I have no experience with the 57/66TW set, but I did use to have the regular 57/66 set.

I don't find Fluence Moderns are treblier. They are around the same brightness. At least in Voice 1 of the Moderns. The thing is Moderns in Voice 1 are more focused, tight, and clear. This might come of as "brighter", but if you listen closely, they're really not. Just different.

Plus with the moderns, you also got Voice 2 which is a hot passive sound.

Another thing that you can do is flip the Moderns so that you get the Alnico in the neck, much like people do with the 81/85 combo. The Modern Alnico is actually a pretty cool bridge pickup. Kinda like Fishman's take on something like the EMG 85, or, I think, closer to the 57 TBH.

I used to be a big fan of EMG's. I still like the 81, 60, and 57 TBH. But for me, Fishmans do what EMG's are known for, just better.

JMO.

I did like V1 of the alnico in the bridge. Didn't think the rest of the voices were set up as well for flipped positions. There's also the gain reduction and HF tilt options if brightness or output are issues.

Might be talking myself into using these somewhere again.

Yeah, I don't think the Modern Alnico Voice 2 is bad in the bridge, but it certainly doesn't mach with the Ceramic Voice 2 in the neck, you're right.

Honestly, for me, Voice 2 on the Moderns has always been more of a bonus. I like Voice 1 so much I rarely stray away from it. But yeah, it's there if you need it. And it's good too!

And yeah, the HF Tilt darkens them up a tad if you need it.

Schecter's hellraiser hybrid series have the 57/66 set. C1 and SOlo models, then the varying floyd, hardtail, sustainiac configs. Trans grey and violet/blue finish options, I forget what's still in production versus on their vault section (would also suggest looking through that in general).
