It's up for SD to say whether a whole bunch of forumites wanting the same pickup (I guess the 78 bridge is the only candidate) would allow them to come down on the price.
Whether that happens probably depends a lot of how busy MJ and Seymour already are, something we can't know, and whether doing this would be considered devaluing an existing product. Having said that, we'd hand other a lot of cash for a bunch of pickups and that's what SD is here for, no?

Regarding the side-topic - what's supposed to be wrong with changing the pickups more often than you turn your amp on and off?
