SD Distortion Neck Pickup.

Hello all,
I have a Distortion set in my 2016 Charvel So Cal. It's a wonderful combo and a nice break from my usual JB set.
What I really find shocking is the Neck pickup is very sweet and crisp. I may even like it a touch better at times over the JB59. It has a very well rounded tone and you basically can do anything you want with it. The Distortion name can be very misleading as it's a clean as the day is long and doesn't overdrive your amps clean channel. Then again I may not know that as I have ridiculous head room.

If anyone is looking for a nice punchy clear solid pickup for your neck position I suggest giving the Distortion a run. It's a fat meaty Humbucker thats really versatile and probably can do anything you want.

Re: SD Distortion Neck Pickup.

I've got one. It also makes an excellent bridge pickup (which was what it was initially designed to do). It works well with all sorts of magnets.

EDIT:
BTW, some may benefit putting 47nF in series or using a HP shelf when using it as a neck pickup.
