SD humbucker options for HSS strat config

Forum noob here!

Have a set of SD alnico 2 (flat pole) strat pickups for a partscaster project. The guitar is routed for HSS - thinking about going this route. What SD humbucker would be a good match for the alnico 2 middle and neck?

Style of music: rock, blues, etc. - nothing too heavy.

Thanks!

How about a 59 or maybe a Pearly Gates?

Thanks for the suggestions! Somewhat familiar with 59 and PG, will check out the others!

A less conventional idea and some pickups by DiMarzio...
SH-3 Stag Mag
Air Norton
Air Classic (bridge or neck models)
Bluesbucker

In addition to the Custom Custom, you might like the idea of splitting in order to combine with the middle pickup any of the following:
Stag Mag, Bluesbucker and Air Norton.

With the likely exception of the Custom Custom, all of these pickups should work well with either 250k or 500k pots, making for better integration with your singles.

Well the textbook answer would be the Alnico II Pro humbucker, but you might also like the Seth Lover which is considered by many to be one of the best production PAF style pickups on the market.

Wow, all great suggestions. The Alnico II Strat pickups are darker than, say, an SSL1. Darker or more mid-heavy pickups would be a tonal match. The Alnico II Pro or Custom Custom are good places to start. The Custom Custom is a lot louder than a typical PAF-ish humbucker, so if volume balance is an issue for you (some people like an imbalance), then the Custom Custom won't work.
