SD Jazz wiring problem

Getting close to the end of a 12-year guitar project ( :yell: ), I find that the wires on my SD Jazz neck pickup will not reach the pots in the controls cavity.

As a complete wiring novice, is it possible to extend the wires or what would you suggest?

Yes. Extend them. Be careful, be diligent. Take pride in this simple task.

but put some heat shrink tubing over the joins....
