SD Neck and middle pickup to match Custom 5 bridge

Im setting up an alder bodied guitar with a Floyd Rose. HSS routing and in the bridge I will fit a Custom 5.

I want hot/fat sounding single coils to go with the custom 5, preferably in the P90 sound category.

What options do I have with Duncan's?

- Jack Thammarat uses a Custom 5 bridge and 2 Classic Stack Plus in middle and neck. Sounds nice to me.
- I also like the Pro Track Satriani uses in the neck. What's the SD alternative?
- What rail or stack pickup would match the Custom 5.

Thanks,

Harry

Lil'59 in the neck possibly? Comes close to the B-M-T response of the Custom 5.

What kind of tone do you want? Clasic Rock, Metal, Fusion? personally I like for the neck the Little Screamin Demon.

Fusion to rock. I have a Yamaha Pacifica 611 with a Custom 5 bridge and P90 neck that I love.

Looking at the tone chart the Lil'59 would come very close to the reasonant peak and B-M-T response of the custom 5.

if you like the classic stack+s, i'd go with those

i have a C5 in the bridge of a guitar and it is paired with a 59 neck and i LOVE it .. so a Lil 59 might be something right up your alley ... i have a duck in the middle, i'd do a classic stack+ or a vintage rails if i was soing it over today

good luck

I'm looking to put a Stacked P90 in mine. Does anyone know if the height profile fits stock into the 611 without mods? Also could I wire the coil split in to the existing tone coil split?

You can see the dimensions of a stacked P90 here. Every pickup page, in the lower right corner, has a link to drawings like this (usually as " Dimensions/Specs"), so you can measure to see if your pickup will fit.
