The bridge looks a lot like a production Custom 8 from the specs. I am a big A 8 fan with a bridge pickup, but am skeptical in the neck. The reason is the magnetic strength and string pull. I love the Alt 8 Sentient set I have in my 93 Carvin DC 127 in solid KOA and with those pickups it is one of the best sounding and most versatile guitars I have ever owned. However, for the Alt 8 to really work, it MUST be set much lower than I would normally set a pickup to offset the increase in string pull. If you get it too close, then it kills sustain and things like pick harmonics, plus you get weird overtones and the tone turns to mush. When you hit the sweet spot, however, it's pure magic. In the neck, A 8 is very hard to control because of the increased string vibration and the magnetic pull.
