SD & other S/C pup ID please - asap

Hi,
URGENT Help, please.
I have a SD type triangular base with low top E,B pole rods. It has what seems to be white masking tape around the coils with SR* (* Looks like the ohms sign but could be O,0 etc.) stamped on it in black ink. Bobbin hole is round & central.
It looks vintage and similar to the SD 5R/HSS-5. Could it be a Fender? It has a cheapo looking bright-white square cornered plastic cover that may be original or not

Also, is anyone aware of the Aria Pro 11 CT s/c's? (See pic's).They have a metal screen beneath the coil tape! Are they of any notable value as I need 2 throw away -pup's... NOW?

Basically, I need to put cheapo pups in a cheapish guitar tonight/tomorrow and therefore I need to identify these as defo cheapi pups or catagorically SD's or ratedquality

Photographs, please?

Well, since you have pushed for an answer, I am not convinced that either of the pickups in your photographs is a Seymour Duncan. I have a feeling that I have seen that type of squared-off looking pickup cover before.

No SD pickup there! The one with the white masking tape could be modified, because the original black silk tape is hard to get.

Re: SD & other S/C pup ID please - asap

THANKS

One was never suggested as being a SD but rather an Aria Pro CT jobby.
'I have a feeling that I have seen that type of squared-off looking pickup cover 'before'....so have I, but I can't
recollect where. Maybe Vox? I sorta think cheapo.

Are these any better than say a Squier/Hohner pup?

'No SD pickup there'! Are you saying definately, no mistake, NOT an SD regardless of what you added later?
'could be modified' Are you saying it fits all SD visual criteria except having the wrong tape? Are many cheap pups made of the same base material as this one?
Does this base lend itself to it very possibly being an actual SD??

I know. I was covering my arse. You never actually stated which pickup was the Aria.

The PU with the metal thing sticking out of the underside is like no SD pickup that I have ever seen. I shall say, however, that the metal thing seemes to protrude by exactly the depth that I would expect an underslung bar magnet to occupy.

On the PU with the grey-looking fibreboard bobbins, the polepiece magnets protrude from the lower fiberboard plate in a way that a genuine SD single coil would not be expected to do. The insulation lacquer on the coil is the wrong colour, as is the plastic insulation on the output conductor wires. There also appears to be a mystery soldering lug emerging from the solder on one soldering eyelet.

Are these any better than say a Squier/Hohner pup?

This is a matter of subjective taste that only you can answer.

Ta,
which pickup was the Aria yep, the one most unloke a SD.
Underslung mags too. Is that acceptable practice or sonically detrimental?

Definitively NOT an SD then - THANKS

Any comments on the printing?

Before I waste it by loading it into a cheap guitar, anybody know whether it also definitely not a pup of any consequence and merit?
