SD scorcher pickup

I just got a good deal on a new SD performer p/u at guitar center. i want to put it into the neck position of a strat style guitar I just built. I alreay have a dimarzio humbucker in the bridge and it a H/S/S format right now. I play metal and the blues and wil probably use the guitar mailiy for metal. i went with this to saw myself having to route the single coil slot to fit a humbucker. Didi I make a good choice? can this p/u be used in the neck position? I could not find thses listed on SD's website anywhere. Did I get a discontinued model or what?

That's a guitar center/musician's friend model. They're like the duncan designed but only sold at GC/MF. Here's the link to MF's page for them.
