SD's for a full hollowbody.

I just got an Ibanez Artcore AF75, pretty excellent in the look/feel categories, dead in tone though. Cheap Asian ceramic HBs-they need replacing. I was just wondering what a good Combination of Duncans you all think would be for this guitar. I play lots of rock, clean to moderately distorted, so I don't think a set of real hot buckers would do (along with the fact that too much drive causes the beast to feed back like a monster). I'm willing to spend probably $150 maximum on a set.

all suggestions are welcome, just wondering what you think would sound best .

oh, and hopefully this isn't a frequently asked question...I didn't see much about hollowbodies around, but I might just be ignorant or blind.

I'll stop talking now.

thanks.

ryan.

Re: SD's for a full hollowbody.

If you could tolerate the hum that P-90's create, then my first choice would be Kent Armstrong humbucker sized P-90's. My friend has this setup on his Artcore and his cleans for Jazz are just amazing as well as his overdriven sound for Rock n' Roll.

A set of Jazz or '59 would be my pick for Seymour Duncan's.

'59s or Seths? ... unless a set of ants would fit in the budget

good luck

Good call. Those would be my pick too...the Seth Lovers especially. Lew
