SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - ANYTHING GOES!!!!!!!

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
The NEXT TO LAST CATEGORY! The last category is Second Chance - so the runner ups all get one last chance. In this category, however, it is

ANYTHING GOES!!!!!!

If you have a guitar that has been passed over, un-appreciated, or just didn't fit any of the other 18 categories - this is YOUR chance. I would appreciate seeing things that were NOT part of any other poll in a serious way.

Example: Agile Les Paul. Could have made it up in Les PAul Copy, Asian Import, Refinish, Wood etc... So if I have seen this guitar five times already, don't bring it back.

This is for the Underdog Guitar that has been patiently waiting for its chance to be appreciated. Bring it boys -

* Some of you regulars might carefully consider IF you enter this, and WHAT you enter if you do. Not banning anyone. Just saying new and interesting gets you points here - not your usual awesome.

*Usual rules apply, must own, strings, single pic please, no prior winners, etc...

The only reason this wasn't in the Superstrat category is that I bought it just days after the polls closed. Here she is, my 2008 Music Man Morse Y2D.

Should I enter this in the More Wood category too? The top is pretty extravagant.

good call - as for the best wood cat, go for it. I'd get a better top pic though.

My MIM Standard Ash Telecaster that I (heavily) modified. It wasn't finished in time for the tele poll:

Three true-single coil pickups, each with an on/off/out-of-phase mini-toggle switch located on the pickguard. This acts as pickup selection, while the 3-way tele selector sends the signal either through both the volume and tone pot, just volume, and then straight to the jack. In between the volume and tone control is a switch to run pickup combinations in either series or parallel.

I'll throw this thing into the mix.
It's the 1990 Peavy generation S-1 I picked up a few weeks ago. One of the biggest surprise player guitars I have ever owned. When I found it it was a basket case with dead electronics green frets and bridge (the bridge is a solid slab of milled Brass!!) rusted strings and covered in grunge. I cleaned her up repaired a little wiring and did a full set up.
When I got the grunge off her I was shocked. Under all the grunge I found a Mahogany body with a thick flame maple cap, huge solid brass milled bridge all brass saddles, nice med jumbo frets on a wide 12 radius board above the sick flame fast slim neck. When i got it back together it plays like a dream, sustains better than any Les Paul I have ever played and with these stock Peavy actives ( which look like EMG's but sound like Bartolini's !!) sounds absolutely amazing. I have played her out several times and every where I use it folks flip over the tones.
Sounds like a really great Teli on one heck of a shot of steroids and will absolutely stomp anything under a full on Masterbuilt Custom shop US Fender in the ground!
Bought this one to flip and make a $ on but after playing it out it's not going anywhere!
Biggest surprise in how good it really was was after I got her back to life of any guitar I have ever picked up!!
Now if I can just get past it having the PEAVY name on the headstock---.

Trust me this one is good enough to make me forget who built it!

...do you mean guitars that have not previously been put forward in a category at all, or just ones that didn't make the poll in that category?

Preferably, something that hasn't shown up period as EITHER an ENTRY or a POLL PARTICIPANT (it IS possible someone doesn't own a Les Paul, Copy, Start, copy, PRS, Pointy)
Bass...etc...)

And in YOUR case, since we have already seen so much CoA awesome...especially in the POLSS, it had REALLY better be a worthy new addition.
