Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe BASS Entries now being accepted
I'm entering the Hamer Monaco, but here is another unusual and cool bass for the enjoyment of anyone interested. I don't know how old it is. Probably old enough that I could enter it in the vintage competition as well. I bought it used in 1998.
Carbon fiber neck. Body looks like koa, with strips of maple and some reddish looking wood. I haven't seen that original EMG logo since probably the mid 80's.

My '74 Precision, modified by luthier Giuliano Balestra, White Plains NY.
I've been rollin' with this since after high school; bought used.
Frets shaved, fingerboard refinned (a little tarnish under the finish), DiMarzio pups,
Wilkinson 5-string kit with graphite nut and extra string tree anchor.
