SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - CAtegory 1; PRS

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - CAtegory 1; PRS

Is this category only for USA PRS guitars? I don't think my SE would get nominated but I would like to know if I put up some pics of it in this thread would it get deleted? Also, can I enter a guitar in multiple categories?

PRS - any country of origin.

Do not doubt the subtle power of a stylin' and non-overdone SE...

Here's my 2005 Modern Eagle in Slate with a Brazilian rosewood board and neck.

This is the SE that theodie stole from Gr8Scott and sold to me.

Not much to look at, but definitely the PRS with the most SDUGF juju.

Gr8Scott lent it to theodie to try for awhile, theodie never paid him for it, theodie sold it to me. Gr8Scott has since declared the case "resolved."

I have had a beer with both of them, but not at the same time. Both are big scary dudes with teddy bear insides.

Here it is in action:

It records very well. There's a little arpeggiation at 1:58 that is exactly the tone I always wanted for soft pop like this. So great.

2002 Custom 22

Nothing fancy here to see just a tone workhorse.

EDIT: Updated pic so the grump's post and my reply no longer apply.

It's a shadow. It's mid morning sun coming through the trees so the light is blotchy. I'm going to post a better full sun pic later but no sun today. The pic above is about 2 years old.

Cu22 10 top in Natural Finish. It looks a lot better with the Chrome covered Duncans it has now but I have no photos of it in its current iteration

Here's some Korean made pron for you guys-

She's a PRS SE Torero that I had a A8 '59/Custom Hybrid put in the bridge position, and an A4 '59n in the neck position. It has amber speed knobs, and a push/pull for coil splitting. The Floyd Rose has a Tremol-no set to block it off on it currently. For those who don't know about this model, it is a neck-through guitar. It is tuned C right now.

See, I thought I had a shot. Then page 2 happened.

Well played gents! :)

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - CAtegory 1; PRS

Okay - checking in it seems we easily have 10 contenders...

That said - a couple of you may just want to do a reshoot (Hunter...). Pic quality IS a factor. It doesn't have to be SUPER awesome, but if it has more glare than the top of my head, probably not good.

Of course which ones...we'll have to wait and see....I'm feeling a Thursday evening deadline.

Audio - what we have here is the "Two-shot" dilemma. You will have to pick one, and only one of those lovely axes for entry. On the one hand, there is that beautiful deep cherry burst. And we know the judge has an affinity for all things CB. However, there are a few bursts already. So do you go with that lovely, lovely natural top in all it's pure glossy awesome?

And maybe you decide to go with the wrong entry - then again, maybe neither has caught my attention sufficiently to make it to the poll?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Good luck with that - choose carefully.

PS all - apologies for this category being omitted last time. Mistake - BIG mistake. I'm now gassing for an SE Soapbar like nobodies bidness...

I picked the natural finish axe. First sentence in my post. As killer as the DCB is, there is no hiding the truth with a natural finish. It has the goods or it doesn't and this one does in my humble opinion.
