hit it!

After a week of recording & editting vocals for this tune, I realized nothing got the pissed off emotion of the tune better than the scratch vocal, which was played at the same time the main gtr was recorded. Even the gtr solo was improved live on that 1st take, and the rhythm gtr behind the solo was added later. Funny how that 1st take can be the one.

very cool brandon ... lot's of guts in that tune ... nice guitar work ... very cool production values too ... minimal, but stylized and effective ... you did a nice job spittin' out all those syllables and walking the line between completely intelligible (but sterile) and mumbled (yet powerpacked) ... i understood enough to feel what i felt, yunno?

i am gettin' a whole 'elliot easton meets ace frehley meets elvis costello' thing from the whole thing

sounded so nice i had to play it twice

funny little fact: I wrote the chorus hook back when i was like 18, & kept it in my head all these yrs. weird, huh?

I'm gonna put it on broadjam soon, but it takes a few days for them to activate my tunes. Are you suuuure u'r WMP's setting are set to play mp3's that are on web pages?

find u'r icon for the WMP. Click on it & i believe it will take u through some pages. I think it's the 2nd page where one of the boxes askes if u want to use it to open up mp3's on web pages. make sure that box is checked. I'm postin' from my mac now, so I can't do it now, but I'm pretty sure u'll find it.

well, i listened to it on a different computer i have. i dig the vibe, alas it is different. good stuff though. not expecting this at all.....nice thing though.

personally, i would love to hear a new version of the vocals where they line up a little bit more accurately with the music than this.....couldnt hurt.....

the solo's are sick...

so what is this....3 songs toward the next album? (eventually, when im les busy with school, ill make a copy of that tape and send it out to you with some money....)

I'm almost done with another. I'm so backlogged on tunes that must be recorded, that it hurts to even think about it. I'm writing em faster than I recorded/mix em.
Negative on the money, please. I owe you.

also, i feel the same way. i have about 5 songs that i need to record, and 3 lyrics that i love that need music. and school is starting to end, so ive got that. over the last 4 days (wed-fri) i was friggin under so much stress that i just kept writing. 3 good lyrics came out, which just means more **** to record....lol
