Seagull....

After have spent a few months playing it and getting to know it better.
These days I play more acoustic than electric as it is.
Here is a small recording....just noodling around!

Re: Seagull....

Is the acoustic DI? I love the sound of a good acoustic going DI (it's the way I track my Ovation). Nails that '70s tone when you add a healthy amount of compression and an exciter! Excellent playing as usual.

Re: Seagull....

Yep it is, through my Focusrite Saffire.
Used the build in mic and the pickup under the bridge.
Added some reverb and it was good to go.
I am looking for a good mic to put in front of the guitar, but that will be for later!
Thanks for listening:)

I disagree. I hate the sound of a DI acoustic ON ITS OWN. Processing it like you mentioned and BLENDING it with a mic'd signal mixes the natural tone of the guitar with the consistency of the DI. I find you lose too much of the guitars character with just a DI.

Not meant to be crapping on everything here, playing was great!

I see you did use the internal mic, once again (it certainly does help) but it does rob you of that openness of the guitar that only a mic infront can capture. I find the internal mics really help in the live setting solving these problems vs in the studio.

Well....who is going to hear any difference when it is recorded on a crappy pc??
:D
Oh well can use the mics next time, but I like the sound of pickups.....internal mics makes nothing but feedback live...
