SED EL34s

Educate me on those. Who in metal/hard rock uses them, any sig tones from the genre? What are the fairest prices and where. Their build quality. How is their longevity, how do they like attenuators(mass) etc. Thanks.

The only thing to know is that it's one of the very best current production (normally priced) EL-34's out there.

to me they sound like fuller jj's, more focus on the low mids than the... mid mids?

i dunno what artists use em, there friggin tubes, who cares

never used em with an attenuator, but so far they've been pretty friggin stout, i haven't had to replace them yet & they've seen a lot of loud use

the top end shimmers. Nice swirling harmonic content. I think that's what I miss in JJ's E34Ls ... to the point that the improved tighter bottom end is not enough to forget abou the again, "the top end shimmers. Nice swirling harmonic content" ......
